What background color should I use?
The number plate background should be a solid color matching the color codes designated below:
District - White (C0, M0, Y0, K0 or #FFFFFF)
Gold Cup - Yellow (C0, M20, Y100, K0 or #FFCC00)
National Age Group - Grey (C43, M35, Y35, K1 or #90A4A4)
National - Black (C0, M0, Y0, K100 or #000000)
ROC - Red (C0, M100, Y100, K0 or #FF0000)
State - Intermediate/Novice - Green (C79, M16, Y89, K2 or #34D21B)
Expert/Girl Expert/Cruiser - Blue (C93, M77, Y2, K0 or #123BFA)

The plate numbers should be a solid color matching the color codes designated below:
District - black number on a white background
Gold Cup - black #1-3 on a yellow background
National Age Group - white number on a grey background
National - white number #1-99 on a black background
ROC - white #1 on a red background
State - Intermediate/Novice - white number on a green background
Expert/Girl Expert/Cruiser - white number on a blue background
Men Pro, Women Pro, Vet Pro number - black number on a white background
Men / Women Junior - white number on a black background
UCI World #1-8 - black number on a white background with a small “W” adjacent to number
What size should the numbers be?
According to the official USA BMX 2023 Rulebook, all handlebar-mounted number plates should have numbers of a minimum of 3 inches in height.
Are logos and sponsors allowed?
Sponsor logos and names are permitted as long as they do not cover your numbers. If your numbers are not legible, you may be told your plate cannot be used during an official competition.
What size should the plate be?
A minimum area for numbers is required. This area is 2.95” (75mm) High X 4.75” (120mm) Wide
